These End User Terms of Service govern the use of the payment orchestration platform provided by Wajub UK Ltd when you, as an end customer, make a payment on a merchant platform using Wajub technology. Your direct contractual relationship is with the merchant from whom you make your purchase. Wajub acts as the technical provider to that merchant.

1. Definitions

Strong Authentication: verification mechanism based on at least two independent elements (3D Secure). End Customer (or User): person who initiates a payment via Wajub. Merchant: person from whom you make a purchase and who uses Wajub. Personal Data: any information enabling your identification. Dispute: procedure by which you contest a transaction. Payment Token: secure identifier replacing your payment details. Provider: the payment service provider that processes the payment for the merchant (mobile money operator, aggregator, card acquirer, etc.).

2. Purpose and scope

These TOS define the terms under which Wajub provides its payment orchestration infrastructure. They apply to any use of the platform, regardless of the payment method, device, country or amount. Wajub is not a party to the contractual relationship between you and the merchant. The sales contract is concluded directly between you and the merchant. Claims relating to purchased products or services must be addressed to the merchant.

3. Use of payment services

To make a payment, you must select the payment method, enter the required information, confirm the payment and, where applicable, complete the authentication requested by your operator or bank. Once the transaction has been processed, a confirmation is displayed and a notification may be sent to you. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. You undertake not to share your security codes, to use secure networks, and to check for the HTTPS padlock and the address of the payment page (pay.wajub.com, wajub.link, invoice.wajub.com or the merchant's domain).

4. Payment methods

The payment methods offered depend on the merchant and your country: mobile money (for example MTN MoMo, Orange Money, Wave, Moov Money, Airtel Money, M-Pesa, Express Union or Free Money) and, where the merchant accepts them, cards. Fees may be applied by your mobile money operator or bank. When the merchant chooses to pass a service fee on to the payment, that fee and the total amount debited are displayed on the payment page before you confirm.

5. Tokenisation and consent

Merchants may offer to save your payment information (tokenisation) to facilitate future purchases. Saving requires your explicit consent (checkbox or positive action). You may at any time view, delete or disable your saved payment methods from the merchant's interface. Tokens are stored securely by Wajub and cannot be used by another merchant.

6. Personal data protection

The data controller is the merchant from whom you make your purchase; Wajub acts as a technical processor. Wajub collects transaction data, payment data (method type, last 4 digits), technical data (IP, browser fingerprint), browsing data and approximate location. Data is retained in accordance with legal periods (transaction: 10 years, technical data: 1 year, cookies: 13 months maximum). You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, exercisable with the merchant or at [email protected].

7. Right of withdrawal and refunds

The right of withdrawal is governed by the legislation applicable to your contract with the merchant. For online purchases, you generally have 14 days from receipt of the product. For a refund on commercial grounds, contact the merchant. For an unauthorised transaction (fraud), immediately contact your mobile money operator or your bank. Refund times depend on the mobile money operator or bank concerned.

8. Disputes and challenges

If you believe a transaction is fraudulent or unauthorised, contact the merchant, your mobile money operator or your bank, and notify Wajub at [email protected]. For cards, the time limit to dispute with your bank is generally 120 days. Wajub encourages amicable resolution: first contact the merchant's customer service; if no agreement is reached within 30 days, contact Wajub, who will facilitate communication with the merchant.

9. Liability

Wajub endeavours to ensure the proper functioning of its infrastructure but cannot be held liable for delays attributable to Providers, scheduled maintenance interruptions, merchant decisions, acts of fraud committed by third parties, or force majeure events. You are solely responsible for the use of your payment method, the confidentiality of your authentication information, and the accuracy of the information provided.

10. General provisions

These End User TOS are governed by English law (England & Wales). For users residing in the European Union, the mandatory provisions of the consumer law of their country of residence apply. For any complaint: [email protected]. Wajub reserves the right to modify these TOS; modifications are notified on the payment page. Continued use after they come into effect constitutes acceptance.
